Events

Sunday School and Adult Classes begin at St. John on the Sunday after Labor Day.  Jesus encouraged His disciples, “Let the little children come to me. (Mark 10:15)”  We hope our Sunday School will be a blessing to your family as you seek to bring your children to Jesus, and you will take advantage of this opportunity.    Adult Sunday School Classes Videos 

Sunday School opens in the sanctuary at 9:45 a.m., after early worship and before late worship.  Classes continue until 10:45 a.m.   The following classes are offered on Sunday mornings:

• Wooly Lambs (18-months thru 3 yrs) (Rm 304)
  Wooly Lambs is a special class for children and their parents, full of Bible stories, crafts, and snacks. This class meets from 10am to 10:30am to accommodate the attention span of our youngest class members.

• Preschool (3-5yrs) (Rm 301)
  This year our preschoolers will go on a Kingdom Safari through God’s Word. They’ll hear Balaam’s donkey talk, watch as David defeats a lion and a bear (oh my!), and feel the sea breeze during Jesus' miraculous catch of fish…plus 10 more amazing animal-filled stories.

• 
  Kindergarten & 1st Grades (Rm 308)
  This year we’ll learn about God’s Top 10 List! We’ll dig into the Ten Commandments. They’ll climb Mt. Sinai with Moses, gather quail and manna with the Israelites, and learn about God’s way to live in 11 more exciting adventures.
  
  2nd & 3rd Grades (Rm 110)
  This year we’ll be looking at Crime & Punishment! Kids and their leaders go deep inside jail cells with the blinded Samson, the prophet Jeremiah, and the exiled King Nebuchadnezzar…as well as 10 more shady—and not-so-shady—people from the Bible.
  
  4th & 5th Grades (Fellowship Hall, Rm 102)
  This year we’ll be learning about God’s goodness in The Amazing Grace! They’ll meet a nephew who didn’t deserve grace, a desperate mother who wanted a special gift, a starving widow whose cupboards were bare…and 10 more people who experienced God’s goodness.

• 
  Middle School (Fellowship Hall, Rm 103)
  Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders gather together to learn more about their relationship with Christ through Bible Study and discussion.

• 
  High School (Youth Lounge/Portable Building)
  Current High School students will discuss a variety of things thru Bible study and fellowship.
